Friends of Stafford County Animal Shelter provides routine & emergency medical care, food, medicine, shelter supplies and participates in community events to help the shelter care for their loving shelter pets.

The Stafford County Animal Shelter has an open admission policy, and turns no animal away. Over 2000 animals a year pass through their doors. Friends of Stafford County Animal Shelter is dedicated to helping the Stafford County Shelter make sure these animals receive the best possible care and find their forever home.

“Our primary program is raising funds for emergency vet services, however, last year we launched our Pay a Spay program to help dogs and cats get adopted nationwide by making sure they are fixed. “

By spaying or neutering your pet, you’ll help control the pet homelessness crisis, which results in millions of healthy dogs and cats being euthanized in the United States each year simply because there aren’t enough homes to go around.

Friends of Stafford County Animal Shelter is helping support the shelter in their efforts by providing the funds needed to spay/neuter and vaccinate these cats and dogs. They are reaching out to supporters to ask for assistance. They need to raise $75/pet to cover the vet costs. Know that by donating, you are making a huge difference in the life of each one of these special shelter pets.

Through the generosity of their donors, they've been able to:

• Provide emergency medical treatment to shelter animals

• Purchase much needed equipment and supplies for the shelter

• Provide microchips to help more pets be re-united with their owners

• Support the foster program by providing food, specialty supplies and other items to help loving families temporarily care for animals in their homes

• Assist with efforts to spay and neuter animals in our community

• Support special adoption events at the shelter

• Provide grooming and medical care to increase the adoptability of special needs shelter animals

With your help, they can continue to do wonderful things for these loving animals.
